BIS Industrial Services provided a full turnkey service for the technical evaluation of three large gas compressors (315kW). These were of a reciprocating design and therefore imposed large load swings on the incoming electrical supply and Variable Speed Drives.

We carried out loading analysis and defined the motor drive specification following a system simulation.

In specifying protection systems and the linkage to existing systems, BIS-IS took into account the hazardous area in which the equipment was to be installed. The rationalisation of the control room was designed to allow installation of the new equipment within the existing footprint.

Subsequently, the purchase of the equipment, installation and commissioning were managed exclusively by BIS-IS.
