Acquisition of O'Hare Engineering strengthening Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services AG's position in the UK onshore sector

Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services, one of the leading industrial services provider in Europe, is extending its service facility in the UK process industry. The Group has acquired O'Hare Engineering, a potent provider of maintenance and repair services for production equipment. Confidentiality has been agreed on the purchase price to be paid for this hitherto family-owned company.
With total revenues of over EUR 60M. O'Hare's serves renowned companies in the chemical and petrochemical industry. From its headquarters near Manchester, it handles 80% of its business via long term outline contracts, specialising in maintenance, project management and professional engineering services to the Refining and Chemical sectors of the UK. With its wide range of services, it integrates various activities to provide its customers with tailored solutions. O'Hare has around 600 employees.
Since the acquisition of the UK Salamis Group in 2006, Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services (BIS) has been the market leader in maintenance and repairs for offshore rigs in the North Sea and is already developing peliminary onshore activities.

Les O'Hare, the previous owner of O'Hare, explains: 'Having managed and owned my company for 30 years it was essential in considering divesting my shareholding that new ownership would be in the best interests of customers, employees and suppliers.
