BIS Industrial Services Presents the Chemical Industry Association “Excellence In Engineering Award”

BIS Industrial Services are pleased to announce that Robinson Brothers has been awarded the BIS Excellence in Engineering Award for 2011. The award recognises the contribution of engineering excellence in the chemical industry towards improved business performance. The recipient has also been rewarded for the innovation and delivery of company services within the chemical industry over the past year.

The final short list of nominees were all very well known & respected companies throughout the chemical sector and included: Eli Lilly, Robinson Brothers, ABB Engineering Services and Fuji Film, all equally deserving of their place on the short list.

After much deliberation the final decision was made and the judges selected Robinson Brothers as the winner for their entry, the BIS Excellence in Engineering Award. The winning company has clearly represented both excellence and innovation within their industry sector, their award submission included the following details.

Robinsons Brothers entry showed excellent innovation in the industry. The company has developed an in-house unique engineering solution to the gas odourisation (GO) of odourless UK natural gas for leak detection. Innovative engineering solutions are the life force of this business and can be implemented both on plant and on delivery vehicles which has resulted in 100% compliant free delivery over 120 UK sites.

The evening was a complete success and fun was had by all and although there could only be one winner, the BIS-IS nominees are a clear representation of the talent that is currently operating in the chemical industry.
