BIS Industrial Services WINS Contract for Warwick Chemicals
The customer required Engineering Management and design services to assist their Capital Expenditure Programme. BIS-IS has been selected to provide a more focused approach, due to our ability to combine services into one single project management structure.
The contract has been divided into project phases: Day to Day Maintenance, Small Projects, Capital Projects and Shutdown Support for Warwick Operations teams.
As part of this contract we have also been commissioned to install a new crystallizer on Plant No 5 and convert two of the on-site reactors to crystallizers. Additional fabrication and welding is also required on the existing crystallizer units. Currently, the design team based at corporate HQ are working on the TAED Phase 1 Crystallizer Upgrade, utilising the latest 3D modelling techniques.
The crystallizer is a key component in Warwick’s TAED chemical production cycle, (a chemical that enables laundry washing to be completed at a lower temperature).
Warwick Chemicals has also employed the services of our sister company BIS ATG as the electrical term contractor and both companies are currently collaborating on the Tank Farm Rationalisation Project. BIS-IS and ATG will also combine services on the upcoming Fire Protection and TAED Production Upgrade Projects a combination that will ensure that the customer receives the best possible service from two leading companies in the industry.
Account Manager Paul Stephens commented, “The BIS-IS team have worked hard to provide improvements in productivity for this customer. The introduction of PrimaVera P6 a project planning software has provided all involved with an overview of key milestone activities and lower level project-by-project plans. We have also introduced a new Site Manager, Mike Callaghan to the project."
