BIS Industrial Services Wins Maintenance Contract for Innospec

The contract includes the provision of a range of services from BIS Industrial Services significant portfolio of industrial provision, including Mechanical Fabrication and Installation, Electrical/Instrumentation, Scaffolding, Insulation & Painting. A number of specialist services, including Asbestos Survey, Encapsulation, Removal & Disposal also form part of the contract.

This award is a representation of the continued relationship between Innospec and BIS Industrial Services, built up during the previous contract, and demonstrates the commitment the company has made towards ensuring the highest quality of service and delivery.

The contract will be managed by Gary Caldwell (BIS-IS Project Manager) and together with his multi-disciplined team continue to maintain high quality work standards. The team also hopes to surpass their previous significant safety achievement of attaining 1 million manhours without a Lost Time Injury.  David Lloyd, Procurement Manager of Innospec recently stated: "My overriding memory and thanks of what BIS has done for our business is to bring a safety culture that's influenced the whole site and inspired our performance."

Gary Caldwell went onto say, “We are extremely pleased that Innospec has re-selected us for this major contract and believe that our selection is attributed to the overall effectiveness of our delivery capability and the continuous improvements and innovation we have introduced to the Ellesmere Port site.

BIS-IS recognises that translating a “good idea” or technical innovation into practice is a real challenge in particular when organisations are restricted by their structure or commercial/financial drivers. At Innospec we have the ability to integrate across our service provision. The introduction of Layher System Scaffold onto the site, along with the use of Rope Access techniques are just some of the innovative processes BIS-IS has introduced to the contract.
