Team BIS-IS Completes the 2011 Haydock Park Race For Life
On the morning of Sunday 24th July 2011, 11:00 am at Haydock Park Race Course the ladies of BIS-IS completed the 5 K Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Team BIS-IS was made up of nine special ladies.
The morning began with bacon sandwiches followed by a race warm up where all of the brave runners had to complete a fun and energetic dance and aerobic warm up exercise to get their muscles ready for the five kilometres ahead. All of the BIS-IS ladies got fully involved in the warm up and were rearing to go for the race.
The time then come for the race to commence and all of the runners were cheered on by supporters and motivational music was played to give the ladies that extra boost of energy. The team were submerged into a sea of pink as the 2025 women surged towards the start line to complete the race.
The ladies completed the race in excellent time, and were all congratulated at the finish line by supporters with pink carnations and much needed bottles of water. Everyone was extremely proud of their achievement and all received medals for their efforts. There were many women involved in the race who were still battling cancer and the team would like to send out their respect and admiration for these strong women.
Team BIS-IS has now reached their target of £500.00 pounds and are still eager to raise as much as possible to help the fight to beat cancer.
